The Salvation Army Kroc Center Chicago seeks a General Manager to lead daily operations, programs, and budgeting at a large community facility. You will ensure programs run within budget, align with the mission, and maintain high standards of service and safety for members and staff.

Leading a diverse team, you’ll optimize facility use, supervise department directors, and drive community engagement while upholding Salvation Army values and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Recreation Management or related field.
• Non‑Profit Management experience and master’s degree a plus.
• 10+ years of experience as General Manager or Director of Operations and Business of a comprehensive recreational facility.
• Development and administration of facility budgets of at least $3 million.
• Management of a comprehensive indoor recreation facility of at least 50,000 square feet.

Responsabilités

• Develop, monitor, and evaluate annual operating budgets exceeding several million dollars.
• Provide leadership to program directors, operational managers, and business managers.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and human resource needs.
• Ensure safety policies, maintenance, and facility operations.
• Direct marketing, customer service, and community programming.
• Collaborate with DHQ IT and Marketing/Communication to support operations.
