Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is seeking a retail team member to provide friendly cashier service, manage payments, and assist customers on the sales floor in Albemarle, NC. You will help keep racks tidy, assist donors, and participate in sorting and door operations while upholding safety and customer service standards.

No prior experience required; motivate to learn and grow with annual raises and production bonuses.

Qualifications

• No experience required; willingness to learn and grow.
• Cash handling experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand, move, and lift up to 10 pounds.
• Aligned with Goodwill's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient customer service at the register—ring sales, handle payments, bag merchandise, and thank customers.
• Keep the sales floor stocked and organized: move clothing from the backroom, merchandise clothing by type/color, and ensure racks are tidy and rotated.
• Maintain a clean, safe shopping environment including dressing rooms and work areas.
• Greet donors, accept donations, and issue receipts.
• Support donation door operations and perform sorting/hanger tasks as needed.
• Report any safety, security, or theft concerns to store management.
• Help with other duties as assigned to support a strong team environment.
