Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is seeking a friendly, reliable retail teammate to support customer service at the register and keep the store floor well-organized. You will greet customers, process payments, and help with donation processing in a fast-paced setting.

No experience is required, and candidates with cash handling experience are a plus. This role emphasizes teamwork, learning, and alignment with Goodwill’s mission and values, with opportunities for growth and benefits

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and reliability.
• No experience needed; willingness to learn.
• Cash handling experience is a plus.
• Able to follow instructions and multitask in a fast-paced retail setting.

• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient customer service at the register—ring sales, handle payments, bag merchandise, and thank customers.
• Keep the sales floor stocked and organized: move clothing from the backroom, merchandise clothing by type/color, and ensure racks are tidy and rotated.
• Maintain a clean, safe shopping environment including dressing rooms and work areas.
• Greet donors, accept donations, and issue receipts.
• Support donation door operations and perform sorting/hanger tasks as needed.
• Report any safety, security, or theft concerns to store management.
• Help with other duties as assigned to support a strong team environment.
