Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is seeking entry-level associates to join our stores in Charlotte. You will ring up sales, handle payments, stock the floor, and greet customers with a smile.

This role keeps you on the move, requires you to stand, lift up to 10 pounds, and deliver friendly service. Starting at $15/hour with annual raises and production bonuses, we offer benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement for full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• No prior experience required; willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, efficient customer service at the register—ring sales, handle payments, bag merchandise, and thank customers.
• Keep the sales floor stocked and organized: move clothing from the backroom, merchandise clothing by type/color, and ensure racks are tidy and rotated.
• Maintain a clean, safe shopping environment including dressing rooms and work areas.
• Greet donors, accept donations, and issue receipts.
• Support donation door operations and perform sorting/hanger tasks as needed.
• Report any safety, security, or theft concerns to store management.
• Help with other duties as assigned to support a strong team environment.
