Job summary

The Diocese of Green Bay is seeking a qualified accounting professional to supervise daily and monthly accounting activities across assigned areas. You will help ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial reports and support the Accounting Manager, Controller and Finance Officer.

Your role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 3–5 years’ experience, and strong knowledge of nonprofit GAAP, payroll taxes, and financial systems such as Abila MIP and Paycor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 3 to 5 years of increasing accounting responsibility.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP for nonprofits.
• Proficient in computerized accounting systems (Abila MIP and Paycor preferred) and MS Office.
• Proven knowledge of federal and state payroll taxation laws and requirements.
• Strong leadership, supervision and training skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily and monthly accounting activities for assigned areas to ensure complete and accurate financial reports.
• Provide support for the Accounting Manager, Controller and Finance Officer.
