Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Software Engineer with active TS/SCI clearance to support mission-critical software for the PUMA missile warning system. You will turn prototype algorithms into robust production software, build scalable services, and ensure reliability in 24/7 operational environments.

You should have 5+ years in software engineering, strong C++ skills, and experience with microservices, Git-based workflows, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

Active Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI.
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI access with CI polygraph.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field; 5 years may substitute.
5+ years of experience in software engineering or related technical fields.
Strong C++ development experience for production software.
Experience with microservices in production environments.
Experience using Git-based version control systems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Translate algorithms and prototypes into robust software for large image and sensor data.
Develop reliable, extensible, maintainable, and performant software.
Apply development standards and processes to produce high-quality packages.
Build and improve automated test, verification, and validation tools.
Debug, refactor, and modernize code for new systems and platforms.
Participate in full software development lifecycle from planning to maintenance.
Collaborate with algorithm developers, systems engineers, testers, and stakeholders.
