Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Software Tester to support a large-scale big data analytics platform for U.S. Government analysts. You will design, execute test plans, validate functionality, performance, and data integrity across distributed systems, and contribute to test automation and CI/CD testing in an Agile environment.

Applicants must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance and willing to obtain a CI Poly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 14 years of total professional experience in a technical support role, with 5+ years in software testing or QA.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and distributed systems in varied environments.
• Knowledge of performance and security testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Python, JavaScript).
• Understanding of defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail).
• BS in Systems Engineering, GIS, Computer Systems Analysis, Electrical/Software Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Validate functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability of web-based and data-centric apps.
• Perform integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing across distributed environments.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using issue tracking tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and system admins to troubleshoot issues.
• Support CI/CD testing activities and participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Verify data integrity and data flow across large-scale analytics and ingestion pipelines.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Rigorously document detailed test processes.
