Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a software engineer for the C2 Ground program at the Deer Creek facility in Littleton, CO. You will design, develop, test, and deploy software in an agile environment, contributing to TPED-like domains and command and control capabilities.

Requires a BS in a STEM field and 2+ years with Java and/or C++, plus experience with Git/JIRA. A Top Secret DoD clearance is required for this role and success in this position depends on strong collaboration and problem-solving

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field.
• 2+ years of professional experience using Java and/or C++.
• Experience with Git, GitLab/Bitbucket, JIRA.
• Experience in Agile-based software development methodologies.
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret DoD Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software applications for target systems using agile methods.
• Write source code for new applications or enhance existing ones.
• Conduct code reviews, optimize algorithms, and validate performance.
• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Apply standards, processes, and tools throughout the lifecycle.
• Leverage hardware/software knowledge to develop mission-critical software.
