Job summary

QTEC Aerospace is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on software development in Java for a Missile Defense System, contributing to a multi-contractor team that supports government programs.

Candidates will apply knowledge of Java/J2EE, with encouragement for C++ experience, and must hold a DoD SECRET clearance or be able to maintain one. The position includes working across systems, design, testing, and documentation within a fast-paced

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/Math/Physics or related field with 1 year of related experience; 6 years may substitute.
Understanding of Java/J2EE or OO development; knowledge of coding standards and automated testing.
Ability to work in a rapid-paced, team environment and communicate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Provides experience across multiple systems and software disciplines.
Performs analysis and technical support of systems software products.
Maintains currency, debugs, and configures related software products.
Develops or modifies operating systems applications from specifications.
Assists with design, coding, testing, and documentation of programs.
Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems and improve efficiency.
Works on most phases of software systems programming.
