Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Service Desk Specialist to provide timely and professional support to a fast-paced IT environment in Arlington, VA. The role requires a Secret clearance, strong customer service, and experience with ITSM ticketing systems.

You will work in collaboration with IT professionals, handling incidents, requests, and documentation while maintaining high-quality customer communication and adherence to SLAs. Telework may be considered based on mission needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma. Associate or bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years of related experience.
• Required Technical Skills include Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, SharePoint, Java, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT operations support using an ITSM ticketing system (ServiceNow or Remedy).
• Deliver technical support for computer systems, software, and hardware via in-person, phone, email, and messaging.
• Install, configure, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
• Independently provide advanced technical interpretation and solutions across networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
• Create, update, and resolve trouble tickets with clear notes and within SLAs.
