Douglas County Emergency Management in Nevada seeks dedicated individuals to join our public safety dispatch team. As an Emergency Communications Specialist, you will handle 911 and non-emergency calls, coordinate response, and provide lifesaving instructions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 2 years of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and screen emergency 911 and non-emergency calls and dispatch responders.
• Enter data into CAD and NCIC/NCJIS systems; maintain records.
• Provide information and instructions to the public and to first responders as needed.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and staff training.
