Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead concept-to-completion projects in space, defense, and national security sectors. You will coordinate technical teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and report to the VP of Project & Mission Management.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a technical field and 5+ years of PM experience with strong communication. Travel up to 30% and relocation assistance for qualified candidates are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, etc.).
• 5+ years of experience in project management or a related role supporting complex technical projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams including technical and project management staff, defining tasks, schedules, and levels of effort.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for project execution.
• Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
• Track project performance to analyze completion of short- and long-term goals.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
• Facilitate meetings, including kickoffs, status updates, and retrospectives.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Perform post-project evaluations to identify successes and areas for improvement.
