Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Organizational Messaging System (OMS) System Administrator to join our team at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on daily operation, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of secure messaging platforms across classified and unclassified networks, with emphasis on AMHS, ECGS, SIG, ITS, and CDS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 5+ years of systems administration experience with at least 3 years in enterprise secure messaging gateways or mission-critical ops centers.
• Active DoD TS clearance required.
• DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 Certification IAW mandate prior to start; IAT II required (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP). IAT III desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise messaging platforms (AMHS, ECGS, SIG, ITS, CDS).
• Oversee high-volume global message routing, queues, validation, and delivery across joint endpoints.
• Manage MCS and CDCs to translate legacy protocols to modern formats.
• Monitor message queues to identify stalls, errors, delays, and misconfigurations.
• Maintain and secure Windows Server 2019/2022 environments.
• Identity and directory administration (AD, provisioning, RBAC).
• Coordinate hardware maintenance, storage cleanup, and KVM/console connectivity.
• Monitor health with enterprise tools like SCOM and escalate incidents in ITSM (ServiceNow).
• Document changes, SOPs, and RCA reports.
