Job summary

Harley Ellis Devereaux (HED) is seeking a Mechanical Designer to contribute to design documentation, calculations, and cross-disciplinary coordination. You will primarily work in Revit, supporting HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems under project engineers’ guidance.

The role emphasizes developing a deeper understanding of building systems, taking ownership of portions of design packages, and collaborating with engineers to meet project goals.

Responsibilities

• Produce the mechanical sheet list for projects and set up in Revit.
• Collaborate with project engineers on mechanical system components and coordinate across disciplines.
• Model components and systems in Revit for HVAC, plumbing and/or fire protection.
• Produce redline markups to delegate tasks to team members.
• Edit Division 21, 22, 23 specifications with project engineers.
• Complete mechanical equipment sizing and energy code compliance calculations.
