Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, required.
• 2+ years in the AEC industry preferred.
• Revit experience required.
• Written and verbal communication skills commensurate with the position.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and curious.
• Ability to work well with others under deadline situations.

Responsibilities

• Produce the mechanical sheet list for projects, determine sheet requirements and complete project set up in Revit.
• Participate in the completion of the BIM Project Execution Plan.
• Assist in mechanical submittal reviews and develop mechanical RFI responses with supervision from lead engineer.
• Collaborate with project engineers on mechanical system components and coordinate with affected disciplines.
• Model components and systems in Revit for HVAC, plumbing and/or fire protection based on code and client requirements.
• Produce redline markups to delegate tasks to other team members.
• Mentor other mechanical engineers to share knowledge of design for built environments.
• Edit Division 21, 22, 23 specifications with project engineers.
• Complete mechanical equipment sizing and energy code compliance calculations with project engineers.
• Develop familiarity with code compliance and engineering best practices.
