Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking exceptional Mechanical Design Engineers to design, test, and scale mission-critical hardware across autonomous air, sea, ground, and strike platforms. You will own components from concept through fabrication and validation.

We hire across three core streams—Core Technology, Lethality, and DFM/DFA—reflecting diverse hardware challenges and fast iteration. A U.S. security clearance is required and relocation may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of professional mechanical design experience from concept to fabrication and test.
• Proficiency in parametric 3D CAD (NX, SolidWorks, or Creo) and PLM/PDM (Teamcenter).
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis.
• Hands-on prototyping and fabrication experience; root cause analysis of defects.
• Coursework or experience applying statics, dynamics, materials, heat transfer to hardware design.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own components and assemblies from requirements through prototyping, testing, and manufacturing.
• Create high-fidelity 3D models and 2D drawings per ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Collaborate with Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, Safety, and Test teams to solve hardware bottlenecks.
• Apply first-principles engineering and FEA/hand calculations to validate performance.
• Perform 1D/3D tolerancing and DFMEAs early to de-risk production.
• Build prototypes and write detailed test plans; execute environmental, dynamic, and bench tests.
• Support cross-functional execution across multiple hardware streams.
