Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Critical Infrastructure / Operating Engineer to support a highly secure financial services environment and a disaster recovery data center. The role covers Moonachie, NJ and Jersey City, NJ, with duties to maintain 100% uptime across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and building systems.

The position requires experience operating complex building systems, reading technical drawings, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
• Member in good standing of Local 68
• Universal CFC EPA Certification
• OSHA 10 Certification
• New Jersey Blue Seal Refrigeration License
• New Jersey Black Seal Boiler Operator License
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or building maintenance
• Ability to read HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and architectural drawings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Conduct routine rounds, testing, and system performance analysis
• Assist with and follow MOPs, SOPs, and procedures for critical equipment
• Monitor and respond to system alarms and emergencies
• Oversee vendors and contractors performing OEM maintenance and repairs
• Maintain logs, drawings, and system documentation
• Support day-to-day facility operations and client needs
