Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in Kansas City, MO is seeking an Operating Engineer to maintain mission-critical data center infrastructure. You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems to ensure 100% uptime and perform installations, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

The role requires site work, vendor coordination, and the ability to read design documents. CMCO certification and an Operating Engineer license are preferred; on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Proficient with MS Office and email
• Ability to read and interpret design/construction documents
• Experience in critical environment operations preferred
• Familiarity with DCIM platforms a plus

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical, and building infrastructure in data center
• Monitor and operate equipment to ensure 100% uptime
• Perform installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Oversee vendors/contractors for OEM maintenance
• Read and interpret design/construction documents to support maintenance and upgrades
• Ensure compliance with critical environment management programs and safety protocols
