Job summary

Stantec’s ICT Designer in Mission Critical Facilities designs backbone and horizontal cabling systems in data center settings. You will conduct site surveys, prepare deliverables, and help manage project scope and budget under supervision.

Experience with ICT design in critical facilities is preferred; accredited engineering degree or equivalent required. Proficiency in CAD, Bluebeam, and Revit is expected, with strong communication and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• ICT design principles for backbone and horizontal cabling; relate to other disciplines.
• Customer owned outside plant pathway design knowledge.
• TIA standards and BICSI best practices familiarity.
• Background in Data Center Facilities.
• Knowledge of nomenclature, design techniques, materials, and building codes.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulations.
• Proficient in CAD, Bluebeam, and Revit.
• Communicator with clear scope and coordination messaging.

Responsibilities

• Develops system designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and punch lists.
• Prepares project deliverables per client scope and proposal.
• Follows Stantec QA/QC and budget/utilization goals.
• Acts as project manager input on timeline and precursors.
• Creates detailed instructions and reviews work for timely execution.
