Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking an Information and Communications Technology Designer to contribute to our leading integrated design practice in the United States. The role involves developing ICT designs for backbone and horizontal cabling, performing site surveys, and producing client-ready deliverables under supervision.

You will work with CAD, Bluebeam, and Revit tools while aligning with budget and quality processes.

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years related industry experience preferred.
• Experience with ICT design in Mission Critical Facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops systems designs within own discipline with minimal supervision.
• Performs site visits for surveys, progress inspections, and final punch lists as required by project timelines.
• Prepares project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work in Stantec's proposal.
• Follows Stantec’s quality management process; reviews project deliverables before submitting to QA/QC reviewer.
• Actively participates in the engineering/professional community to build knowledge and growth.
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
• Performs duties to assist or act as the project manager; contributes to plans and timelines.
• Creates detailed instructions, delegates tasks, and reviews work for timely execution.
• Identifies roadblocks and alternates to maintain scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develops understanding of Stantec’s accounting and project management systems.
