Job summary

Suffolk Construction seeks a General Superintendent, Mission Critical to lead field operations on complex projects, including data centers. You will guide schedule adherence, quality, safety, and client coordination while mentoring site teams and coordinating with pre-construction and business development activities.

The role requires extensive field leadership, strong problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple site priorities to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of 15 years of general contracting with a focus on mission critical/data center experience.
• Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities between Suffolk business needs, organizational issues, and client relations.
• Applicable area licenses.
• Strong judgment, organizational skills and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor projects for conformance with the construction schedule, quality levels, and SOPs.
• Develop client and architect relationships to generate satisfaction.
• Recruit, mentor and train field staff to align talent with project scope.
• Provide leadership on materials, sequencing, scheduling and methods of construction.
• Support Business Development and participate in pre-construction activities.
• Oversee field operations and ensure on-schedule and on-budget delivery.
