Job summary

Carrier in Sullivan, IN is seeking a Field Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of field engineers on multiple client sites. You will mentor new hires, coordinate with Project Management, ensure projects stay on time and on budget, and optimize field workflows.

The role requires 2+ years in PLC/HVAC/building automation and proven leadership, plus a valid driver's license, ability to travel up to 75%, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the PLC, HVAC controls or building automation systems.
• 2+ years of team management, supervising or leading teams.
• Possess and maintain valid and current Driver’s License and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.
• Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment in excess of 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
• Ability to travel up to 75%.
• Ability to visit job sites regularly, including daily as needed.

Responsibilities

• Resource Allocation: Partner with Project and Branch Operations Managers to assign personnel to projects based on workload and technical requirements.
• Budget & Quality Oversight: Monitor project budgets for negotiated work, ensuring Field Commissioning Engineers maintain high quality-control standards.
• Scheduling: Coordinate with electrical subcontractors and other trades to ensure project milestones are met.
• Workflow Optimization: Use Cora PPM to manage tasks, generate reports, and track logs/timesheets for the field team.
• Mentorship: Develop and implement training plans to onboard new hires and upskill current field staff.
• Performance Management: Lead reviews; provide continuous feedback on quality and efficiency.
• Recruitment: Participate in interview and selection for new team members.
• Standardization: Improve company standards with Engineering/Graphics teams.
