Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Field Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of Field Engineers at client sites around Sullivan, Indiana. You will mentor new hires, coordinate with Project Management to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, and ensure staff have the knowledge to perform work at high quality.

This role requires travel up to 75%, a valid driver’s license, and strong PLC/HVAC/building automation experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in PLC, HVAC controls or building automation.
• 2+ years in team management/supervising.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable by company.
• Capable of climbing ladders or lift equipment >8 ft; lift up to 50 lbs.
• Travel up to 75%.
• Ability to visit job sites regularly.

Responsibilities

• Project Management & Execution: allocate resources and manage field teams.
• Budget & Quality Oversight: monitor budgets and ensure quality.
• Scheduling: coordinate milestones with subcontractors.
• Workflow Optimization: use Cora PPM for task tracking and reports.
• Mentorship: onboard and upskill new hires; field staff development.
• Performance Management: conduct reviews and provide feedback.
• Recruitment: participate in interviews for new hires.
• Standardization: improve standards and best practices.
• Stakeholder Liaison: primary contact for customers and subcontractors.
• Meeting Leadership: represent in turnover and project close-out meetings.
• Technical Support: provide guidance on ALC programming and graphics.
• Continuous Learning: maintain proficiency through training.
• Proactive Problem Solving: identify concerns early to mitigate risks.
