Job summary

SST Direct is seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Manager to lead QA/QC for large-scale data center and mission-critical electrical construction projects.

This role oversees quality processes from preconstruction through project completion, collaborating with project managers, subs, vendors, engineers, commissioning teams, and field personnel to ensure conformance with specifications, codes, and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical construction QA/QC or related field.
• 2-4 years of management or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical quality assurance and quality control efforts on mission-critical construction projects.
• Develop and implement project-specific electrical quality plans during preconstruction and construction.
• Establish quality requirements for electrical work and incorporate them into project planning, procurement, and execution.
• Work closely with project management and field leadership to maintain electrical quality standards throughout construction.
• Conduct and coordinate quality inspections, audits, reviews, and quality meetings.
• Monitor electrical installation activities and identify potential quality issues before they impact schedule, cost, or project performance.
• Track quality metrics, deficiencies, non-conformance issues, and corrective actions.
• Investigate significant quality issues and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
• Coordinate with electrical subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field teams to ensure work meets project specifications and quality requirements.
• Review electrical testing, inspection, documentation, and closeout requirements.
• Coordinate quality requirements for electrical equipment, materials, and specialty systems.
• Support electrical testing, startup, commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities.
• Provide quality training and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Review project documentation, inspection records, testing results, and quality reports.
• Analyze quality trends and implement improvements to prevent recurring issues.
• Maintain consistent quality standards across complex, multi-phase mission-critical projects.
• Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project team.
