Job summary

Leidos in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii is seeking a Network Engineer to design, optimize, secure, and sustain large-scale DoD networks supporting critical communications. You will manage LAN/WAN, routing, and security in mission-critical environments, ensuring robust operations and timely remediation.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of DoD network experience, active TS/SCI clearance, CCNP and firewall expertise (Palo Alto, Azure). Expect travel to multiple international sites as requirements arise.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of engineering experience or a master's with 5+ years in DoD networks.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance (in DISS) required.
• CCNP certification and security certifications (CompTIA Security+) required.
• Experience with DoD communications systems and enterprise networking.
• Deep OSI knowledge (Layers 1–4) essential for HGCC N31 and customers.
• Experience with Cisco enterprise networking and cryptographic devices.
• Experience with Palo Alto and Azure Firewalls; SolarWinds and ISE.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LAN/WAN, firewall, and NMS activities per Government guidance.
• Manage Cisco routing/switching for 700+ devices.
• Configure cryptographic devices and OSPF routing.
• Review IAVAs/IAVBs and implement remediation.
• Support local network infrastructure and circuits from T1 to OC 192.
• Develop SOPs and security improvement recommendations.
• Provide onsite engineering support for mission environments.
• Travel to Guam, Japan, Bahrain, Italy, Spain, Australia, S. Korea, Singapore as needed.
