Job summary

Frequentis USA Inc. seeks a senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain automated deployments and configurations for our safety-critical communications systems, serving government and commercial clients.

You will work on monitoring, security, and high-availability architectures, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across program management, hardware/software development, and field engineering.

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of DevOps experience in automated deployments of integrated hardware and software solutions.
• Proven system engineering concepts and risk management experience.
• Able to learn and integrate new technologies into solutions.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Proficient in RHEL and scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Perl, Python).
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, log aggregation (ELK/OpenSearch, Splunk).
• Familiar with Wireshark and Docker; skilled in monitoring (Zabbix/SNMP) and virtualization (ESXi, KVM, Red Hat Virtualization).
• Experience with data storage (DBRD, NAS/SAN) and databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of security tools (IdM, SSL, IPSec/VPN, SELinux, AIDE) and telecom protocols (SIP/RTP).
• Networking knowledge including Cisco iOS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements automated deployments, networks, and telecom integrations for our systems.
• Implements monitoring, reporting, and upgrade paths for hardware and software.
• Designs complex high-availability architectures and system-level designs.
• Provides systems engineering across software/hardware subsystems and tools.
• Monitors performance, applies security measures, troubleshoots, and improves systems.
• Creates and reviews technical documentation for internal and external customers.
• Owns engineering deliverables and ensures programmatic compliance.
• Collaborates with program mgmt, hardware/software development, test, field engineering and production.
• May participate in on-site deployments, integration, and customer testing.
