Job summary
Frequentis USA is seeking a Systems Engineer in Maryland to integrate software and hardware, configure networks, and validate IT system solutions for our mission-critical communications products.
You will collaborate with program management, hardware & software development, solution architects, test engineering, field engineering, and production to deliver reliable, secure installations and thorough documentation.
Qualifications
- BS in IT or related field with IT systems experience.
- 1–3 years in systems engineering integrating hardware and software.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on integration of software and hardware components, including software installation and configuration.
- Implements and validates IT system solutions for networking, computing, and proprietary equipment.
- Develops and follows test procedures to verify system functionality and debug.
- Conducts factory and site acceptance tests, and analyzes failures.
- Creates and reviews technical documentation for production builds (rack layouts, cables, layouts, BOMs).
- Collaborates with program management, hardware & software development, solution architects, test engineering, field engineering, and production.
- Supports production team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Participates in on-site installations, integration, testing and maintenance activities.
- Assesses site/contract information to plan computer and peripheral equipment layouts.
