Job summary

Frequentis USA Inc. in Maryland seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead systems engineering across the full solution lifecycle for mission-critical safety systems.

You will define requirements, architecture, verification, deployment, and sustainment, coordinating across product management, software and hardware teams, QA, and customers such as FAA, DoD, and NASA. The role requires at least a bachelor’s in a related field and 10+ years of systems engineering or leadership, with DO-278/DO-278A

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics/systems/aeronautical/computer engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of systems engineering or technical leadership in complex or mission-critical systems.
• Experience developing system architectures and ensuring integration/deployment of mission-critical or enterprise systems.
• Experience developing and reviewing technical documentation, architecture designs, interface documents, and analyses.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to meet access requirements for government facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities through the full solution lifecycle from concept to sustainment.
• Analyze customer specifications and derive, allocate, and trace system requirements across hardware, software, interfaces, safety, and security.
• Develop compliant architectures, deliverable plans, and supporting approval documentation.
• Lead design reviews, test readiness reviews, and customer presentations; document decisions and risks.
• Create and review technical documentation for accuracy, clarity, and contractual data.
