Job summary

DLR Group seeks a Mission Critical Mechanical Design Leader to lead the design of mechanical systems for mission critical buildings. You will head a mechanical engineering team, produce construction documents in Revit, and ensure schedules and profitability align with project goals.

You will collaborate with other disciplines, guide design from concept to completion, and contribute to the firm’s advancement of sustainable, high-performance facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
• 15+ years as a mechanical engineer with HVAC, central utility plants, plumbing and fire suppression.
• 5+ years in data center design.
• Strong communication and leadership of engineering teams.
• Experience with BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of mission critical facilities from concept through construction.
• Produce high-quality construction documents using Revit.
• Manage project schedules and profitability.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and vendors.
• Mentor and manage engineers; recruit and develop staff.
