Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Center Mechanical Design Engineer in Kirkland, WA to own the full product design life cycle for complex data center systems, from requirements gathering to detailed design and manufacturing release. You will apply expertise in cooling, electrical, and infrastructure to deliver high-performance facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
• Experience in mechanical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, perform testing, and validate designs to meet engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve potential technical challenges. Influence and shape future products by providing mechanical and structural engineering expertise into the technology roadmap with data-driven decisions.
• Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities as well as technology risks.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching and foster professional growth within the team.
