Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Center Mechanical Design Engineer to own the full product life cycle from requirements to manufacturing release. You will design complex mechanical systems for hyperscale data centers, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while driving efficiency improvements.

Strong experience in data-center infrastructure and a background in mechanical cooling, fire suppression, and facility systems is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
• Experience in mechanical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Create test plans, perform testing, and validate designs to meet engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve potential technical challenges; provide mechanical and structural engineering input to roadmap.
• Identify and scope projects around innovation opportunities and technology risks.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching within the team.
