Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team is seeking a Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) Engineer to perform technical duties under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer. This role develops basic system designs within own discipline and offers solutions to technical problems on data center projects.

The position is open to any location with a Stantec office presence; you will collaborate with designers, engineers, and vendors to deliver integrated, high-availability designs while

Qualifications

• Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years related industry experience preferred.
• PE/FE or other professional certification preferred.
• Datacenter experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops basic system designs within own discipline under supervision of a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer; this includes the ability to offer solutions to general technical problems.
• Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
• Works with the project team to prepare deliverables per the client’s scope of work outlined in the proposal.
• Coordinates with all disciplines to integrate work and client requests into design.
• Follows quality management process; reviews deliverables prior to QA/AC review.
• Assists with reviews of shop drawings and submittals, RFI responses, site observation reports and punch lists, attends coordination meetings, and performs CA tasks.
• Participates in engineering/Professional community for growth (meetings/seminars/conferences).
• Assists the Project Engineer on project tasks.
• Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
