Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) Engineer to join our Buildings team in Chicago, IL or Reno, NV. The role involves delivering technically challenging data center designs under supervision, coordinating with multiple disciplines, and ensuring quality deliverables.

Ideal candidates have an accredited engineering degree, 3+ years of related experience, and PE/FE or equivalent certification is preferred.

Accredited engineering degree or equivalent experience required.

Responsibilities

Develops basic system designs within own discipline under supervision of a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer; this includes the ability to offer solutions to general technical problems.
Delegates tasks to project designers as appropriate.
Works in conjunction with the project team to prepare project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work outlined in the proposal
Coordinates well with all disciplines to fully integrate work and client requests into design.
Follows quality management process; reviews project deliverables prior to submission to QA/AC reviewer
Assists with reviews of shop drawings and submittals, RFI responses, site observation reports and punch lists, attends project coordination meetings, and performs other CA tasks.
Actively participates in the engineering/Professional community to build personal knowledge and professional growth (e.g. attend meetings / seminars / conferences).
Assists the Project Engineer on project related tasks.
Meets or exceeds utilization goals and adheres to project budget.
