Suffolk Construction seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support day-to-day mission critical project management under the Project Manager. You will help track contracts, submittals, RFIs, and permits while coordinating with subcontractors and attorneys to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 2+ years of related Mission Critical experience or completion of Suffolk's Career Start Program as a Project Engineer or equivalent.
• Ability to manage and embrace change; adapt to new processes and approaches.
• Computer literate and proficient with standard office software.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Log in and track Contracts & Purchase Orders.
• Price, approve and/or reject Project Change Orders, Submittals, and respond to RFIs.
• Log in, track and review shop drawings and submittals and respond to RFIs.
• Request Insurance Certificates from subcontractors and review for compliance.
• Create and update Vendor and Subcontractor Contact Log.
• Price and create Proposed Change Orders.
• Submit, track response and issue RFIs.
• Manage building permit process and related issues.
• Plan revision submissions to municipality.
• Coordinate with Company Attorneys on contracts and insurance matters.
• Liaise with subcontractors to resolve issues related to their work.
• Assist with Project Schedule Narratives and weekly updates.
• Create Weekly Meeting Minutes for Owner and Subcontractor meetings.
• Set up coordination meetings with Subcontractors and distribute revised drawings.
• Draft descriptions for Purchase Orders and Subcontract Requests.
• Track Subcontractor warranty certificates and close-out manuals.
• Conduct OSHA 10/30 Hour, HAZWOPER, and safety-related trainings.
