Job summary

St. Joseph’s Indian School in Chamberlain, SD, seeks a part-time Mission Advocate to handle donor service calls and promote the Mission. You will provide exceptional donor support, work with a CRM, and help grow recurring donations while aligning with Native American culture.

Hybrid schedule after training is complete, with office rotations. This non-exempt role emphasizes customer service, accuracy, and teamwork within the Sioux Falls Mission Advocacy center.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong verbal, written communication and listening skills.
• Organizational skills with multi-tasking ability.
• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Self-motivated team member and positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills; proficiency with Word/Excel; internet.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming donor service calls professionally and courteously.
• Conduct outbound donor engagement and follow-up communications.
• Build respectful donor relationships and assist with retention efforts.
• Promote recurring giving opportunities to donors.
• Maintain donor records in the CRM with accurate notes.
• Document calls and outcomes clearly using the phone system.
• Collaborate in team meetings and training; accept coaching.
• Demonstrate cultural awareness of Native American culture.
• Maintain punctual schedules and office rotations as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
