Job summary

Radiance Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and qualification of advanced missile airframes, control surfaces, and internal mechanical packaging. You will perform structural, thermal, and aerothermal analyses using NX/SolidWorks and ANSYS/NASTRAN, manage mass properties, and coordinate with GNC to ensure flight-ready structures and interfaces for CAS and propulsion.

Required is a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years in missile/high-performance aerospace structures.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and FEA: NX/CATIA/SolidWorks and ANSYS/NASTRAN/Abaqus.
• Active US DoD Secret security clearance required.
• Experience with TPS, airframes, and mechanical packaging.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical architecture and CAD modeling of missile airframes and internal mounting structures.
• Perform structural, modal, and aerothermal FEA to verify integrity under flight loads.
• Coordinate with GNC to maintain stability and interfaces for CAS and propulsion.
• Develop mass properties, thermal margins, and packaging integration plans.
