Job summary

Radiance Technologies is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer to lead the structural, thermal, and aerodynamic design and qualification of advanced missile airframes and internal mechanical packaging. You will translate loads into flight-ready structures, TPS interfaces, and CAS/Propulsion interfaces, working with SMEs to ensure robust hardware.

The role requires hands-on CAD/FEA proficiency across Siemens NX, CATIA, and SolidWorks, plus deep knowledge of aero-thermal loads.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 5+ years in missile/rocket structures.
• Active US DoD Secret security clearance required.
• Experience with 3D CAD and FEA modeling for flight hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical architecture and CAD modeling of missile airframes and internal packaging.
• Perform structural, modal, and aerothermal FEA to verify integrity under flight loads.
• Collaborate with CAS, Propulsion, and Avionics teams for integration.
• Develop Thermal Protection System interfaces and mounting layouts.
• Lead environmental qualification testing per MIL-STD-810.
