Leidos Defense Electronics is seeking an Electronics Safety Systems Engineer in Huntsville, AL to design, develop, and qualify high-reliability safety electronics for missile range and autonomous flight safety systems. You will define requirements, lead design reviews, and ensure RCC 319 compliance across components and subsystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in EE/CE/Systems Eng from ABET-accredited program.
• Master's degree with relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with safety-critical electronics and validation.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own system design/qualification for autonomous flight safety systems.
• Develop requirements in compliance with RCC 319 and related standards.
• Review safety electronics designs, interlocks, and sensing circuits.
• Assess analog circuits, filters, EMI/EMC, and A/D interfaces.
• Support environmental and qualification testing per standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams under tight schedules.
