Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks an on-site Program Management Associate Director to lead the SM-3 Blk IIA Development contract. You will drive program execution across a 200–300 person matrixed team, manage budget and schedule, and report to the SM‑3 IIA Program Manager.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or advanced degree with 10–12+ years in program management, with EVMS/EACs experience and an active Secret level clearance or ability to obtain. You’ll influence stakeholders and deliver results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced degree with 10+ years relevant experience.
• Leadership experience managing teams.
• Program or project management experience.
• Experience with EVMS and EACs.
• Experience with risk and opportunity management and/or IMP/IMS.
• Experience in the defense industry supporting the product life cycle.
• Active Secret level clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Drive direct customer program accountability and relationships.
• Lead program execution, ensuring schedule and budget compliance.
• Establish milestones, critical path, and key metrics.
• Provide tactical execution while meeting strategic objectives.
• Resolve escalated program risks and elevate issues as needed.
• Develop and lead program staff, focusing on evaluation and rewards.
• Own P&L responsibilities, including pursuit and cost control.
• Influence customers, vendors, and government stakeholders on solutions.
• Support cross-functional integration and continuous improvement.
• Travel domestically about 10%.
