Job summary

RTX is seeking an Associate Director for Development/DMSMS Program Manager on the SM‑3 IB program in Tucson, AZ. The role requires U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance and onsite work in Tucson.

The candidate will lead development, DMSMS, and transition efforts, manage customer relationships, and drive program strategy, risk, cost, and schedule to ensure on‑time production and fulfillment of commitments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 10+ years.
• Experience executing development contracts, transitioning to production and obsolescence programs.
• Production program/project management experience.
• Experience with EVMS or similar tools.
• People leadership or management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and DMSMS proposals, transition projects to production, and manage obsolescence.
• Maintain and strengthen customer relationships, creating future growth opportunities.
• Propose and execute DoD development and DMSMS contracts and ensure timely transition to production.
• Plan activities for future capabilities and program cut-ins.
• Collaborate with the SM‑3 IB Program Manager for portfolio consistency.
• Partner with leadership to set strategy, vision, and direction for successful program execution, focusing on product affordability, integrity, and on‑time deliveries to production.
• Actively manage risk, opportunity, cost, quality, and schedule performance.
• Travel as needed.
