Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Northridge, CA is seeking a Weapons Aircraft Integration Program Manager 3 to lead end-to-end missile integration programs for 4th and 5th generation fighters. You will drive cross-functional teams across engineering, software, test & evaluation, logistics, and contracting to ensure timely, cost-effective fielding of missile solutions.

The role requires on-site work in Northridge with Secret clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 8+ years aerospace/defense program management experience OR a Master’s (MS/MBA) with 6+ years of experience
  • Proven expertise with weapon-to-aircraft interfaces, store-separation criteria, test-and-evaluation planning, and fighter-aircraft avionics architectures.
  • Experience leading programs to completion on schedule using EVMS, IMS, and Risk & Opportunity Management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full program lifecycle from integration planning through flight testing, platform certification, and IOC.
  • Plan and execute integration of tactical missiles across aircraft platforms via multiple contracts.
  • Develop program scope, objectives, IMS, risk/opportunity register, and cost baselines.
  • Execute risk and opportunity management to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Liaise with DoD, aircraft OEMs, subsystem suppliers, and test ranges for safe store separation and live-fire tests.
  • Lead major programmatic reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and close actions.
  • Own the program budget—authorize expenditures, track forecasts, and EVMS performance targets.
  • Develop new business opportunities through strategic planning, capture planning, and proposals.
  • Build and mentor a multidisciplinary team of program managers, engineers, logistics, and acquisition specialists.
  • Prepare and present program status reports and risk assessments to leadership and customers.
