Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years progressive commercial credit experience in banking.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership or credit authority role.
• Experience evaluating complex C/I, CRE, and structured credit transactions.
• Strong knowledge of South Florida commercial banking market.
• Familiarity with federal and state banking regulations and BSA/AML requirements.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop credit teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate complex commercial credit requests and recommend approvals for C&I, CRE, and specialty finance.
• Develop and refine underwriting policies to align with regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
• Oversee loan administration lifecycle including origination, monitoring, covenant compliance and problem loan resolution.
• Conduct advanced financial analysis of corporate statements and multi-entity structures.
• Lead and mentor credit analysts, set performance standards and support professional growth.
• Collaborate with senior lenders to structure credit facilities meeting client needs with risk controls.
• Present credit recommendations and portfolio updates to senior committees and board risk committees.
• Monitor portfolio performance, emerging risks, and market trends in South Florida.
• Prepare executive-level portfolio and risk reports for leadership and regulatory reviews.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, BSA/AML, and loan documentation standards.
• Partner with Legal, Finance, Operations, and Risk on loan structuring and enterprise risk.
• Support regulatory examinations and audits with a culture of accountability.
