Job summary

WSP is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our team across our Tucson, AZ; Lakewood, CO, or Lander, WY offices. You will work on mining projects nationwide and globally, providing stormwater management, hydraulic modeling, and drainage/civil design, with fieldwork and design support.

The ideal candidate has a Civil/Environmental engineering degree, 3–5 years of water resources experience, and proficiency in HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental engineering.
• Engineer in Training Certification and desire to pursue a PE license.
• 3–5 years in water resources engineering with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.
• Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform portions of broader projects under supervision.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for mining stormwater solutions.
• Model hydrology/hydraulics and design drainage/civil systems.
• Prepare detailed calculation packages with documentation and references.
• Assist with reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
