Job summary

WSP is seeking a Lead Water Resources Engineer in Tempe, AZ to lead hydrology and hydraulics projects across mining, local government, transportation and other sectors. You will mentor junior staff and drive business development while ensuring technical quality of deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, a BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) and a PE preferred, with strong communication and project management skills. Occasional travel required.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field required; MS preferred.
• PE license preferred.
• 10+ years of hydrology/hydraulics and water resources experience.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Experience leading proposals, business development and client management.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrologic assessment and water resources projects across sectors.
• Oversee projects: scope, budget, schedule and resources.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate teams for deliverables.
• Travel to project sites; ~5% overnight travel.
• Lead business development and strategy planning; manage client relations.
