Job summary

WSP is seeking a Water Resources Engineer for our Tucson, AZ, Lakewood, CO, or Lander, WY offices. The role focuses on stormwater management for mining facilities, including hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and drainage/civil design, with fieldwork and report development.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of water resources experience, proficiency in HEC-RAS/HEC-HMS and AutoCAD Civil 3D, and strong communication skills to deliver quality technical deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental engineering; EIT desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform portions of broader projects under supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide stormwater management solutions for mining facilities.
• Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and drainage/civil design.
• Prepare detailed calculation packages with documentation and references.
• Assist in developing technical reports, drawings and specs.
• Prepare reservoir and pond designs including outlet works and spillways.
• Design channels and energy dissipation structures and work with CAD designers.
