Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Project Engineer, Water Resources in Las Vegas, NV to join our transportation service team. You will work with a project manager on hydrologic analyses and hydraulic computations for drainage and stormwater designs.

You will prepare reports, construction plans, and technical memos while coordinating with agencies, clients, and sub-consultants. Leadership and mentoring of junior staff are expected in this role.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in Civil Engineering; Nevada PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proven ability to perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and prepare technical reports.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Civil design standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project manager on hydrologic analyses and hydraulic computations for transport projects.
• Prepare hydrologic/hydraulic assessments to support drainage and flood protection designs.
• Develop construction drawings and technical memos; produce schematic exhibits and quantities.
• Coordinate with government agencies, clients, utilities, and sub-consultants; participate in bidding and submittals.
• Mentor junior engineers and oversee technical aspects across multiple projects.
