Job summary

Capstone Copper's Pinto Valley site in Miami, AZ is seeking a Training Coordinator to develop and deliver competency-based training programs that ensure safe and compliant operations.

You will partner with leaders and supervisors to identify training needs, schedule delivery, assess competency, and maintain training records across the site, regulatory requirements, and company standards. This role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in mining/construction related experience.
• Minimum 1 year in a technical training or training development role.
• Experience with training delivery and facilitation preferred.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and workplace training practices.
• Ability to work with managers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with site leadership and staff.
• Partner with leadership to align training with development goals.
• Identify training, certification, and recertification requirements for each area.
• Develop competency-based training programs aligned with requirements.
• Create and maintain up-to-date training materials and SOPs.
• Schedule and deliver training, ensuring completion targets are met.
• Assess employee competency and record training results and certifications.
• Ensure all training meets Capstone and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of training systems and methods.
