Job summary

Jerritt Canyon is seeking a Project Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute engineering projects within our mining operations. You will drive concepts through detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout, working with operations, maintenance, safety, and environmental teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; equivalent combinations considered.
• 5+ years of engineering or project engineering experience in mining, minerals processing, heavy industry, construction, or similarly complex industrial environment.
• Experience managing engineering or capital projects from concept through construction and commissioning.
• Experience coordinating engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage mining-related capital and sustaining projects from initiation through completion.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, budgets, resource requirements, and execution plans.
• Coordinate engineering design activities and ensure deliverables meet project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards.
• Work with mining, processing, maintenance, and operations teams to identify improvement opportunities and develop engineering solutions.
• Manage engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and other third-party resources.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, technical reports, equipment selections, and construction packages.
• Support procurement activities, including preparation of technical specifications, bid evaluations, vendor selection, and equipment procurement.
• Coordinate construction activities and provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and startup.
