Job summary

Turner Mining Group is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead safe, reliable maintenance of fixed and mobile equipment on-site in mining operations. You will direct shop floor activities, mentor technicians, and drive cost control and asset availability.

In this hands-on leadership role you will develop safety programs, plan maintenance work, and manage staffing while fostering a high-performance culture. The role requires 5–7 years in maintenance leadership within mining or heavy industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeyman's certificate or engineering degree preferred.
• SMRP CMRP certification desirable.
• 5-7 years of supervisory/leadership experience in maintenance operations.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, and work management processes.
• Proven track record of leading teams in mining/heavy equipment environments.

Responsibilities

• Safety, Health, Environmental Compliance & Leadership.
• Develop and champion a safe working environment through Turner Mining Group's Health & Safety Programs.
• Embed safety leadership and accountability across the maintenance team; conduct safety observations, toolbox talks, and field audits.
• Maintain an environmentally responsible program ensuring employees comply with site standards.
• Direct day-to-day supervision of maintenance technicians, mechanics, and crews; assign tasks and provide coaching.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management; mentor team members to build competencies.
• Manage staffing, vacation, and overtime to meet production targets while controlling costs.
