Job summary

Warrior Met Coal is seeking an HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across mining operations in the United States. You will serve as a trusted HR resource for employees, supervisors, and managers and handle employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, HR administration, and compliance.

Responsibilities include acting as the primary HR contact, investigating employee relations issues, coordinating onboarding, managing timekeeping and payroll, and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive HR experience including employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and HR administration.
• Strong knowledge of employment practices and HR principles; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment; ability to travel between mining operations and other locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for employees and supervisors regarding workplace concerns, policies, and questions.
• Investigate employee relations issues in a timely, fair, and confidential manner.
• Assist management with disciplinary actions, performance issues, attendance concerns, and corrective action.
• Coordinate new-hire onboarding and orientation activities.
• Oversee timekeeping and payroll responsibilities for assigned areas.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR information in HRIS systems.
• Support performance evaluations, goal setting, and employee development opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements.
• Develop strong working relationships with mine managers and operational leaders.
